D is for Dracula
Count Dracula the primary antagonist of Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula is my Alphabooks entry for this week.
Some facts about Bram Stoker and Dracula:
Did you know that the name “Dracula” is the given name of the historical Transylvanian-born ruler called Vlad III Dracula of Wallachia, also known as Vlad the Impaler?
And that Stoker replaced the name of his novel, originally called “Count Wampyr”, to “Dracula” after he came across the name Dracula reading Romanian history.
(I’m not that smart BTW, I quoted those facts from Wikipedia)
Enjoy.
